Mining and Investors - Managing the business risks
In May 2008 FairPensions launched a new initiative on the mining sector in collaboration with CAFOD, the Catholic overseas development agency.
FairPensions and CAFOD have identified a series of practices in the mining sector which have the potential to significantly damage shareholder value, and are concerned that UK pension funds and their fund managers may not have systems in place to identify and manage these risks.
